Xnews Menu-Reference
This section of my site is about the excellent freeware newsreader "Xnews" by Luu Tran. This reference addresses new Xnews users who at first want to look up the meaning of single menu items before diving into the depth of the Xnews manual.

- After reading its description you may want to try it out in Xnews; generally the best way to get familiar with software.

Hint: I combined all menu items under one main topic even if you'll never see them that way in Xnews (e.g. "Edit Message" is listed under "Article" but you'll only see it there if you choose "Article" when you're looking at your outbox or when you're browsing folders). If there's time I'll additionally separate the commands out into the different views to make it less confusing for new Xnews users.
Hint 2: Some of the Xnews commands are toggles. Check the manual how to make your desired state of this toggle permanent. In most cases you will have to set a variable in your Xnews.ini (note the Section, eg. [Misc] or [Display)] or your groups.ini. Others can be directly addressed through the Xnews Setup.
